Achieving 550 followers in my first month on X is not just a possibility—it’s my reality. Yesterday, I celebrated reaching 550 followers, all within my first month.

This success isn’t due to luck.

How do I know? The numbers don’t lie.

Since last week, I’ve quintupled my newsletter subscribers. Ten percent of that growth was organic. I scheduled 11 mentorship calls and successfully completed all of them.

It’s all part of my comprehensive funnel strategy, with X at the top.

Engaging is one of the best ways to gain practical experience on X. Here’s what to do:

Pay attention to everything:

  • Study patterns, big creators, and viral posts.

Engage consistently:

  • Regular interaction helps you understand what works and build a loyal audience.

Be adaptable:

  • Learn from your engagement and tweak your strategy accordingly.

To reach the next level, you need to develop your unique approach without reinventing the wheel.

Building Engagement

How did I capture the interest and interaction of my followers?

Engagement is the bedrock of success on X.

Out of +900 interactions, only a handful were posts. The majority were thoughtful comments.

Engagement is everything.

Here’s how I did it:

Engage Diversely:

  • Playful banter

  • Asking questions

  • Cheering others

  • Sharing personal stories

  • Making unexpected comments

Avoiding Pitfalls:

  • Don’t overthink

  • Avoid one-word responses

  • Always show personality

These interactions give you practical experience. It all helps you make better decisions in the future.

But is engagement alone enough to keep followers interested?

I do a few things to maximize engagement:

Create Engagement Lists:

  • I add my newsletter subscribers and a few other connections to these lists. This ensures I always engage with their posts and stay familiar.

Targeted Interaction:

  • I interact on recent posts by big creators and comment during peak times. This increases visibility and builds connections.

Engagement is more than just interaction. It's about building a community. By diversifying your engagement and avoiding common pitfalls, you can keep your audience interested and involved. Consistent, meaningful interactions will not only boost your presence but also provide valuable insights for future strategies.

Mastering Direct Messaging (DMs)

How can you turn your followers into clients?

Sending hundreds of DMs might sound overwhelming. Sending around 5 a day makes it manageable.

My approach? Be real.

Do your homework. Give sincere compliments. Steer the chat towards a call.

Here’s how to make them count:

Be Real:

  • Be genuine and be yourself.

  • Authenticity builds trust.

  • It makes your messages stand out.

Do Your Homework:

  • Check out their posts.

  • Give genuine compliments.

  • Show you’re interested and paying attention.

Guide the Chat:

  • Steer conversations towards setting up a call.

  • DMing is about building relationships.

  • Naturally guide the chat to a more personal interaction.

Engage and Follow:

  • Like and comment on their posts.

  • Follow them.

  • This helps build a connection before you even send a DM.

But what happens when you finally get them on a call?

Before starting DMs, find people you genuinely want to connect with. Engage with their recent posts. Follow them.

DMs can be super effective if done right. By being real, doing your homework, and steering the chat towards a call, you can turn followers into clients. Remember, it’s all about building genuine connections and adding value.

Leveraging Spaces

What if you could meet key influencers without leaving your home?

Spaces on X have been a game-changer. At first, I was hesitant. But I quickly saw their potential. Here’s how I benefited—starting as a listener, then speaking up.

Here’s how to use Spaces effectively:

Listen First:

  • Get comfortable by just listening.

  • This helps you understand the vibe and topics.

Speak Up:

  • Once you’re ready, start talking.

  • Share your thoughts and add value to the conversation.

Use Spaces:

  • Network, learn, and get noticed.

  • Being active in Spaces can put you in front of a new audience.

Now that you’ve caught their interest, how do you keep it?

Spaces can really boost your profile visits. They help you make valuable connections. By actively participating and adding value, you can keep people interested and engaged.

Effective Networking Calls

Can a single call really make a difference?

Scheduling my first calls and conducting 6 mentorship sessions taught me the huge value of networking. Calls are key for building strong relationships.

Here’s how to make your calls count:

Have a Clear Purpose:

  • Know why you're having the call (networking, casual chat, etc.).

Don’t Hard Sell:

  • Focus on building relationships.

  • Avoid pushing a sale.

Respect Their Time:

  • Be genuine.

  • Match their energy.

  • Provide value.

Smile. Engage. Match the other person’s energy. Always keep an open mind.
